It's Official

Brandon is officially an U.S. citizen. We went to Bosie yesterday to the immigration office and Brandon was sworn in along with 50 other people. We are both so excited because it took a lot of paperwork and money to get it.

Family Pictures

Of course Brandon wanted some pictures with farm equipement.

Cute couple!

So Brandon and I had his friend take some family pictures of us. When I told people we were getting family pictures they would laugh and say they would look just like engagement pictures. I told Brandon's friend to make the pictures not look like engagment pictures. After a couple shots he was like "uhh, I really don't know how". I thought that was really funny. Well Brandon and I had fun taking the pictures and I think some of them turned out really well. Now I need to hurry and get some printed and framed. I really want to make a picture collage with some of the pictures.

My grandparents

So I went to Colorado to visit my grandparents. I went because my grandma had surgery on her hand and I wanted to help out. I was only going to stay a week but while I was there my grandpa ended up having surgery because he had a bladder stone so I decided I should stay an extra week to help out. I haven't seen my grandma or grandpa in a couple years so it was nice to go and visit and it was nice to take it easy for a little while. So this picture I took on my phone without telling them I was taking it.

Blanket

So I took care of an older guy at work and got to know him and his wife and they were a lot of fun to talk to. For some reason they thought I was great even though I accidentally sprayed IV fluid all over him. (Ooops!) Luckily he was really nice about it. Anyway, the wife was making a baby blanket and I was talking to her about it and she said she wanted to give it to me. I told her I couldn't take it but she insisted when she finished it she would give it to me. I took care of this patient for a couple days in a row but by the time he was discharged the blanket wasn't finished. I told the wife not to worry about it but she insisted she would drop if off when it was done. Well, when I went to work this week the blanket was there. I was suprised and I thought it was very nice that she really gave it to me. I guess I should spray more of my patients with fluid.

We did it!!!!

So Brandon and I finally graduated! I was so excited that we were able to graduate together. I had hoped we would graduate together and then Brandon decided maybe he would go summer semester. I kind of put my foot down and basically told Brandon that he had to finish in one semester. He took 23 credits this semester to graduate and that was a lot of work for him but he did it and everything worked out. School is not Brandon's favorite thing, in fact he has only been going one semester a year but I am glad he finally finished. I am so proud of him especially since he is the first one in his family to get a bachelors. I think that is a huge accomplishment. I graduated with my first associate degree back in 2004 then I got my RN degree last spring (2008) and have been working full time as a nurse and taking BSN classes. I graduated with my BSN and I am so glad I am done because I so sick of school. Now I just need to figure out what to do with all of my free time!

I love my husband!

So this year for my birthday Brandon got me a picture of the Cardston Temple that his friend took and had it framed. I had no idea I was going to get this for my birthday and I was very excited.
